Welcome to the Dental Ecology website
Our eco-morphological research aims to uncover the factors driving cranio-dental phenetic diversity and diet-related wear patterns in both extant and extinct primates. Using 2D and 3D morphometric analyses alongside microscopic techniques, we investigate adaptive morphological variations and assess the impact of diet on tooth structure in relation to habitat ecology and feeding behaviors. We study well-documented osteological specimens, including individually known primates with recorded social and feeding behaviors.
